Jeff’s Daily Post – Full House

I’m still in Nashville, only day two but it feels like a long time already.  I was up at 4:20 so I could get to the gym by 5:00 (please see Tamara hotel gym rule on earlier post).  I got to the gym around 4:50 (first one there) back on the same treadmill (I like a routine).  I wasn’t sure how far I was going to go but once again I didn’t really feel good from the start.  About 15 minutes in I start feeling better and this gym is starting to fill up.  All of the treadmills face a glass wall overlooking the indoor pool and through the reflection you can see all of the activity behind you.  The treadmills beside me are now taken and for some reason this still throws me off a bit.  I’m not used to running so close to someone (I tend to sweat a bit and it is still hot in this gym – I keep thinking I’m throwing sweat all over these people.  There is also a broken treadmill a few down from mine, at this point all of the treadmills are full and I see about 5 or 6 people get on this treadmill try to make it work and then get off (this is a nice distraction from the pain I’m feeling during my run!).  I’m almost at mile 6 and decide that is as far as I’m going to go – my legs are feeling heavier than they ever have and I also feel a little pressure from all of the people waiting for a treadmill.  I’m pretty sure they are all looking at me thinking “that guy looks like he is about done”.    So I will take my 6.08 miles and see what happens tomorrow.  I might take the day off, my legs feel a bit beat up.  As I left the gym I walked past about 10 people waiting for machines thinking if they only knew the “Tamara rule” they wouldn’t be in that line!  Have a great day!!
