After a restless night, I managed to run 3 miles this morning. My shin felt alot better, but still not 100%. I was actually happy I overslept by 20 minutes so that I didn’t have time to run more. I have had a few shin splints in the past and one led to a stress fracture…so I know not to overdo it. For me running farther and faster too soon could lead to a shin splint…and my weekly mileage increase from 17 to 25 coupled with the speedy runs with Jeff was most likely the culprit. But never fear, I will overcome!
